There has been a Talk on this movie and yes when you have one of the hot and sexy pair Akshay-Katrina who make a comeback after 'Namastey London'. More of the hype is when you have the director in Anees Bazmee captain of the board. One can only know his Tremendous success with his previous flick Welcome creating a box office record. So he we are 'Singh is Kinng', the producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah who also had much success with Akshay's 'Waqt' taking his turn again and one does not have to comment on Akshay Kumar's box office record specially the overseas track record. Does that mean he is the new king of Bollywood?

The plot of the movies goes as such that Lakhan Singh aka Lucky [Sonu Sood] is the don of the Australian underworld, along with his colligates Javed Jaffrey, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Neha Dhupia, Kamal
Chopra and Sudhanshu Pande. In a small village in Punjab, which happens to be the birth place of Lucky, exists someone more infamous than him, he is Happy Singh [Akshay Kumar].

The village fed up of Happy Singh's notorious deeds and

decide to air him on a long trip get Lucky back to Punjab, as his worthless deeds were spoiling their image in Australia. The very happy to go Lucky, takes his mission very too seriously, ventures on his journey, along with his friend, Rangeela [Om Puri], who hates Happy for drawing him him into this issue. The highlight of his journey is his meeting with Sonia [Katrina Kaif], whom he falls in love with, but on reaching his terminus, things go haywire they take a shaky turn as he fumbles into lots comic misadventures, leaving him moneyless til he is fortunately finds warmth and affection in an elderly lady [Kirron Kher]. In this strange turn around, Lucky's life is spoilt by a well-purposed Happy, who in turn fights with the assailants by risking his own life. Following these affrays, Lucky finally lands up in hospital in a paralytic state and Happy, unknowingly finds the fortune turned towards him when he is thought to acquire the role of the new King.

'Singh Is Kinng' truly relies on the heavily poised star value of Akshay-Katrina duo and not much has fit in the plot. There is no any doubt that this flick has nothing much for the intellects and is completely filled with some dotty lines and a bit loose interactions between personas. But this time forth, Bazmee fails at what he is an ace at. seriously there aren't funny scenes or lines and the movie somewhere gets lost in between the world of glam and scenes of fantabulous localites.

The first half has been well carried but the second half seems to be a bit unfocused. The film which takes off well with brilliance as of a Punjab da puttar Happy Singh flying at par to get King but things get mauled with the action and an out and out love triangle between Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif-Ranveer Shorey. Javed Jaffrey worsens as he gets into the act. he well irritates with his slap-stick lines and one does have to ask the writer what the double role was for? Some where in the film one would wonder if this flick was really made with an adamant script or was just the story was initiated using the so called stardom that Akshay has been enjoying at the box office. Maybe the flick would have been perfectly fit on Shahrukh who is aptly been called the Baadshah of Bollywood for ages now. And for now with much being said about the tiff between srk and akshay, a lot can be observed with some scenes in the movie drawing aspects to the real King Khan.

The cinematography is awesome and a bit editing of the tracks would have been more apt. The music is endearing an has a color added to it with the Pritam Tag, but it just up and down anyhow.  Akshay no doubt shows his talent with his power packed performance but since there isn't any sense in the final sequences in the film you don't get to know what he is up to unlike in a Humko Deewana Kargaye or Namastey London or Welcome. Katrina looks Gorgeous and fits the character very well. Its an icing on the cake for her.
Neha Dhupia is to be tapped as well. Sonu Sood emerges with yet another brilliant performance and finally gets his share in bollwywood. Manoj Pahwa , Yashpal Sharma and Sudhanshu Pandey have been ok with
their performance. Om Puri does really well. Its a tailor made for him. Kirron Kher is ok but the logic of she sobbing is so pathetic. Ranvir Shorey is good too. Javed Jaffrey keeps annoying.
The final quote is that , Akshay does a perfect job but the film is well below one expected and why not when its entitled the word 'King' to it. Akshay is no doubt a brilliant performer but surely this flick doesn't buy him the 'King' tag and there's still there is a long journey to get the 'King' status. So for now , Khan is still The King.
