| Bachna Ae
Haseeno directed by one of the industry's talented directors
"Sidharth Anand" whose hit the deck in the past with hit
films like 'Salaam Namaste' and 'Ta Ra Rum Pum', Production
house being The Yash Raj Films, stars bollywood's most
happening couple Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone aka.
Randeep along side Bipasha Basu and Minisha Lamba.
Heavy star cast,
great production house and a talented director. So, does
'Bachna Ae Haseeno' fare? |

|
|
Here
goes the plot.
This
flick is about a tinsel town boy Raj (Ranbir Kapoor)
and his informal relationships with 3 women in
Gayatri (Deepika Padukone), Radhika (Bipasha Basu)
and Mahi (Minisha Lamba).
Radhika is a very chirpy, smart and a sexy babe, who
happens to be a struggling actress looking to make a
mark in film industry. Gayatri who in Australia is a
cab driver has got her own way of doing things and
believes |
|
 |
|
in making her
own rules does not believe in marriage. Mahi is a very
innocent girl (remember the DDLJ times) who is very
confident that she could easily fancy her chances with Raj
(here comes the character of DDLJ)
Bachna Ae Haseeno orbs around these four characters, Raj's
heroics with each girl and the moral he learns with each
relationship. This flick is for all the dudes out here, that
doesn't mean it hasn't got anything for the dudette's.
The movie
kicks off well with the first half being a romantic comedy,
Ranbir kapoor the lead gets involved with three girls. |
 |
The
first story with Minissha Lamba is a very sweet
teenage romance which is a bit funny at times, a
well directed part. The second story with Bipasha is
an open relationship.
Its
absolutely a relationship that most guys seek for.
The third and final story is with Ranbirs real life
girl friend Deepika which is the most important part
of all three tales and not a very well directed part
taking in account that the Mahi part with Minisha
Lamba was directed |
|
| really well.
Over all the
first half is entertaining.
The after interval part is worked up to emote
sobbingly, which is a bit lethargic and very much
predictable. The director should have channeled it a bit
finely. Should have refined the editing. The songs have been
filmed really well, especially Khuda Jaane and the all time
classic Bachna Ae Haseeno. Hats off to the cinematographer.
Ranbir Kapoor
has time and again proved that he is a filled-talent. This
guy has got an immense potential to fit into his fathers
shoes. The much talked about this flick would be the
spoonful smooches he shares with the three ladies. Minisha
Lamba at times good but overall very inconsistent. |
|
Bipasha
carries herself really well exhibiting talent and
showing how experience counts. Deepika's role was a
bit small but well executed. She fares well.
The final say is that Bachna Ae Haseeno is an Ok
movie which could have easily be made much better.
This flick will be pulled together with combination
of audiences negating it, loving it and some
knocking it off. Will have to wait and watch what
the equal to par effects of the multi starter God
Tussi Great Ho will have on it. |
